Let Us Celebrate

The end is not near
The beginning
Is
Just a smile away
This is not the season of sorrow or snow
It’s the season
To rejoice
The rising of the new sun
It’s the season of Christmas
No matter who you are
Or what you believe in
The fact of the matter
Is
The sun will rise
Allowing
All to see
The glimmering beauty
In a blade of grass
Swaying in the breeze
As the sun

Rises over head

Star Dust

A smile
I have been told
Can last forever
That is how
My friend Gene
  Marshall
Will always be
Remembered by me
And others
Who knew him
He is not gone
But
He is near
In my memory
Where countless of other memories
Lie
Some of which
Have been made and shared
By
A very good Catholic man
Dedicated to doing good works
And helping others
And I know
Gene
Is looking down from above with a smile
Laughing at everyone
Because
He is sitting next to his creator and friend
So
When you go to sleep
Just remember
Gene is still working
He is helping the stars from above
Sprinkle star dust
Over everyone
So they can sleep
Good night Gene
My Friend
I will see you in the morning
In my memories

As I do my work with a smile

A birth of a Dance

Many a year ago
You were
Just a twinkle
In my eye
Now
You are the one
Putting a smile
On my face
As we both
Stroll
Down the avenue of the mall
Dashing in and out of the stores
Looking for bargains
And
Transforming our movements

Into a dance

Number Seven’s Birthday

The magic of the number seven
Lies
In the vastness of its ability
To dance around
All
The other numbers
Without
Them noticing
He is smiling
Because
His movements
Are all choreographed
In his head

As he eats pizza
